About Me

Hello!

Before working together, you may want to know a little more about me...

​

My names Cassandra, however most people call me Cass. Growing up in Birmingham, I'm one of eight children and have always adored the stage and the arts. As a child, I wanted to be an actress, however after studying journalism at Coventry University I fell in love with radio too. The personal connection with the audience, the performance element, the sounds, it all felt so warm and welcoming.

As I began a career in the media, starting out working at Derbyshire Live, formerly known at The Derby Telegraph, I realised that comedy also had a special place in my heart and began creating comedic content online. Making people smile in or about difficult times is truly a God given gift and one I've tried to use where I can.

​

After a few years of doing this, I tried my hand at standup comedy, selling out two shows and playing at clubs such as The Glee Club and Birmingham Hippodrome. I also began presenting at Premier Gospel radio, taking over the drive time show. 

​

Fast forward to know, it's been an adventoruous few years! Finding my feet in the media landscape and discovering what sets me alight, going for it and knowing whether it's the path for me. 

​

Despite all of the ventures, one thing has remained and that is my commitment to exploring all the routes God has laid out for me. I believe in life, if we're privileged enough to have a dream and the means to follow it we must do so. There's millions of people on the planet who need the light you have in you, and by suppressing it we only do the world, and ourselves a disservice. That could be voluntary work or writing films or even just smiling at people on the street, following your heart always leads to a better world.

You've probably gathered by now, I'm also a Christian. Faith is an important part of my life, and something that I allow to guide me. It ground me. It helps me to feel there's still something wholesome in the world.
